Food Handler's Card

So, you got the JOB! Congrats!

But you must have your Food Handler's Card within one week of your start date! Read on to learn how to study and take the test online.

A Riverside County Food Handler Card looks like this:

Keep in mind that the cost to take the test is $27, but some employers may pay for your exam costs so ask politely, otherwise you must pay the $27 to take the test. The test is 50 questions and you must get 35 or more correct to pass and get your Food Handler's Card. The card will be valid for two years.

If you would like to take your test IN-PERSON, you can go into any area office to the the exam and receive your certificate.

You must present a valid photo identification to take the exam.
Exam hours: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:30pm
