Hello, my name is Angela Vander Velde, the College and Career Center Technician to Ortega High School. I enjoy helping students make their dreams a reality. I'm almost always smiling or laughing at a good pun.

 

I help Ortega High School and Keith McCarthy Academy students make awesome things happen for their futures. Whether it's applying for a job, trade school, college, FAFSA, scholarships, or even just being someone for them to talk to, I am here to help them realize their potential and chase after their dreams.

 

I am a paraeducator turned school College and Career Technician and self-proclaimed English nerd hoping to spark social, emotional, and academic growth! I am a Cum laude graduate of California State University, San Marcos, with a degree in Literature and Writing. This school College and Career Center will deliver fresh ideas to help our students SOAR to the best College and Career pathways yet!
